Paracetamol
Indications/Uses
Relief of pain including headache & toothache. Relief of fever.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Tab Adult 1-2 tab 3-4 times daily. Childn ½-1 tab 3-4 times daily. Syr Childn 9-12 yr 15-20 mL 3-4 times daily, 6-9 yr 10-15 mL 3-4 times daily, 2-6 yr 5-10 mL 3-4 times daily, 1-2 yr 5 mL 3-4 times daily. Drops 1-2 yr 0.6-1.2 mL 3-4 times daily, <1 yr 0.6 mL 3-4 times daily. Forte tab Adult & childn >12 yr 1 tab 3-4 times daily. Forte syr Adult & childn >12 yr 10-12.5 mL 3-4 times daily, 9-12 yr 5-10 mL 3-4 times daily. Max: 4 g daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Severe hepatic dysfunction.
Special Precautions
Renal disease.
Adverse Reactions
Hematological, skin reactions, other allergic reactions; liver damage (prolonged use & overdosage).
Drug Interactions
Concomitant w/ alcohol may increase the risk of liver damage.
